The "traffic" in Atlanta was terrible on our last trip.

While Gulf Shores doesn't have commercial airline service, it's easy to fly in to Pensacola, rent a car & enjoy the Gulf of Mexico beach right outside our rental condo.

A sunrise walk along the beach in Gulf Shores is a great way to start the day during a vacation at our Gulf Shores condo.

Sunsets are a treat; but there's something magical about awaiting the sun's first peek over the horizon. This shot was taken from the balcony of our condo in 2007.

His delight

We occasionally see dolphins from the condo balcony. I was fortunate to get this photo of three surfacing together.
They must be one of God's delights...along with sunsets & the full moon reflecting on the beautiful water of the Alabama Gulf Coast.

I was this age when I first experienced the beach at Gulf Shores. We camped at the Alabama Gulf State Park and had a wonderful week. Just wish I had photos...

Fishing tournament underway

The 2008 Orange Beach Saltwater Series World Championship is well underway.
Continuing through May 26th, the very popular event for offshore & inshore anglers brings hundreds of guests to Orange Beach & Gulf Shores Alabama.

Kite Surfers at the Gulf Shores Condo

These guys were really moving. I was able to click off a few shots from our condo balcony before they scooted down the beach. A beachfront (or is it beach front ?) condo with a balcony opens up so many views. One of our recent rental guests said, "By the way, your kitchen is perfectly supplied with all the necessities for enjoying a meal on the patio (balcony). Which brings me to the fact that we loved being on the patio (balcony) just as much as we loved the beach."

This Winter
